Sexual role play is one of those things that you will often see on television. In many cases, those who do role play will act out certain professions. The typical form involves service provider and customer. This could be a painter coming over to the house, or a nurse/doctor attending to a patient. But sexual role play can go far beyond this and even include a range of very specific fetishes. There are no strict guidelines about what can constitute a good role play, either. You just need to find something that you and your partner are comfortable with.
Sexy Role Play: Getting an Idea
You may not find that you are into role play at first. In fact, there are many people who find the concept too funny and maybe wouldn’t be able to keep a straight face. However, when they eventually do try it out and get into the act things can change. The whole point of role play is to change your state of mind which can be an act within itself.
You have to get into the mindset of a character. For example, if you are playing the role of a police officer then it might be a good idea to do a bit of research on police officers. Dressing in a uniform is only part of the act. You will also have to learn about what sort of mannerisms they hold and how they reprimand the citizens that they arrest.
On the flip side, if you are the one being “arrested” by your partner then you need to have a criminal mindset. We’re not saying that you should go out and break a few laws, but in order to add to the feeling of the whole role play, you will need to get into this “naughty” mindset.
Discussion and Scripting
If you and your partner are trying out role play for the first time then it may be a good idea to have some sort of script to start off with. Remember to keep this script short, however: you don’t want to have to spend hours memorizing lines (unless that happens to be a particular fetish of yours…). Beforehand, it is also a good idea to discuss a few things with your partner.
Many people these days are interested in finding out what they can become when they get into these different roles. Discussing and communicating the various aspects of potential role play is a good idea. If you have a partner who has experience in that area, then make sure to ask them about what turned them on in the first place.
Get Ideas
You can, of course, get ideas from porn movies. Porn tends to be exaggerated and over the top, but it can still work as a breeding ground for ideas. Perhaps watch one of these together see how the characters interact. The more detailed your roleplay is, the more you can get into the roles and eventually the more thrilling and exciting the sex can be!
