Neko Nation, the Ultimate Nightclubbing Experience for Anime Fans All Across Australia!
Neko Nation, Australia’s favourite anime-inspired club night returns to Sydney this November. Cosplay enthusiasts and cat lovers alike, as well as those with an interest in Japanese culture are encouraged to attend this feline themed party which will be held at Manning Bar on ‘Caturday’, November 14th.
Known for being enthusiastic with its theme, a Neko Nation event wouldn’t be right without the catgirl go-go dancers and poi twirlers, as well as catgirls serving free sushi and catboys providing candy for your sugar boost. If any of those terms have you feeling lost then let me put it in plain English. Neko Nation is a rave-like party inspired by the anime nightclubs of Akihabara, Japan that brings all the weird and wonderful elements down under. It wouldn’t be a proper Neko night without a video gaming room, cosplay smackdown and pillow forts. In terms of music, the soundtrack throughout the night consists of a variety of genres and styles of music. However, do not expect the latest top 40 hits and RnB at this night club, instead there will be plenty of K-pop, J-pop, J-rock, J-core, chiptunes, bubblegum pop gaming, and anime songs and remixes playing until 3am in the morning. I mean, it is a night club for anime fans so duh!
Dressing up is highly encouraged as prizes are given out on the night for best dressed so if you are considering to participate, get creative because competition level is high.
Other cities will not miss out, with Neko Nation heading around the country later in the year. Details for the other dates are as follows:
